My name is Jose Franco. I write to understand myself, then share what I find in hopes it helps you better understand you. This space isn’t about having the answers but about honoring the questions — the ones too complex for slogans or political platforms, the ones that keep us awake or wake us to something deeper.
I’ve lived many lives — coach, entrepreneur, Bronx kid, philosophy student — and each has shaped my pursuit of meaning, even as I’ve come to embrace my own insignificance. What drives me isn’t certainty but curiosity: the urge to challenge assumptions, confront blind spots, and stretch beyond what the world tells me to believe.
I once thought that shouting loudly enough would make the world listen. I chased echoes, mistaking them for truth, until I no longer recognized my own voice. Only when I stopped speaking — not from defeat but choice — did I begin to hear the quieter things: the wind through an open window, the stillness between thoughts, the reminder that I am one of billions wondering, Why me?
The temptation to be seen, remembered, praised still lingers, but I’ve learned that hunger is a trick. The more you feed it, the emptier you grow. Silence, insignificance, even anonymity can be nourishing if you choose to see them differently.
The world is not fair. It never was. But I am not powerless. My strength lies in choosing how to respond. I can harden and grow bitter, demanding recognition, or soften, stay curious, and let uncertainty become my teacher. Each day I stand at this threshold: do I cling to the illusion that life owes me justice, or release it and find freedom in asking better questions?
I choose the latter. Not because it guarantees peace, but because it keeps my heart open and my mind alive. And maybe that, not fame, is what it means to live wisely.
Everything I share here — reflections, essays, free e-books, pamphlets — is part of this ongoing process. If something resonates, lingers, or sparks a question in you, then I am grateful.
